

Its 20C here so its not frost. Nearby bikes and cars were fine so it’s not some other crazy weather thing either. Its almost like flour but somehow even drier to the touch. And it formed into the crystal like shapes (eg on the mudguard on 2nd pic). Who, what, how, why did it?

I would have few tipps based on what kind of businesses are nearby. But it’s more important to give your bike a thorough wash. Clean everything, including the drivetrain/ brakes.
Was your bike waxed at some point? It kind of looks like wax peeling.
Does it wipe off?
Has it rained recently? Looks kinda like salt that might get kicked up from road spray. Other road grit is often dark, but could also be white or similar light colors.
