Can anyone tell me more information about this bike so I can start to refurbish it? I don't know much about commuter bikes and this would be my first one as I just sold my car, but I would like to fix it up myself and ride it. I am getting mixed info about when it was produced and the specifications. I don't want to order parts and they end up not fitting.
Disclaimer: I did post the bike in a couple local facebook groups and no one claimed it after a week. I also should add that I found it abandoned on the side of the road with flat tires, completely covered in grass and mud.

It’s a basic entry level bike from the late 80’s
Iirc it’s “sport touring” geometry which was only a thing for a specific time.
Better than a big box store bike, but that’s about it.
