Found a great deal on FB Marketplace (£150/~$200?) and jumped in with both feet. I knew I was going to buy it on the way there, even though I told myself that "if it fits and if it rolls, I'll take a closer look at it". Turns out I barely looked at anything, the lure of a light Italian street weapon was too strong! After my disc hybrid commuter shat its rear derailleur yesterday and I used my much older steel hydrid commuter today, this thing is light as a feather.

Fresh bar tape, the seams on the tires are still there, Shimano pedals included, it looks super clean and I didn't even notice the white spokes until I had agreed to pay.

I've already put an offer on some Shimano gravel SPD shoes and have white bottles and cages on the way.

  1. Since I can’t edit my post text:
My last post in this sub was about modernizing an early 80s budget steel bike, and the replies then convinced me to simply add up a low end budget to do that project (forgetting tools and time) and just check what’s available for sale that’s ready to roll. So glad I did!

  2. Funny story here I had a set of those wheels because somebody hated the white spokes! The wheels are nicely made though. I put quite a few miles on them before I sold the bike with no trouble.

Nice bike man but I can’t ride upside down with them handlebars. I have neck extension on my MTB and those little things on the bars that makes it look like horns as I am a little older. Riding sitting up is comfy for me. Ride on man.
