Hey, I’m looking to get into cycling and I found this used Focus cross bike that I’m considering.
The bike is 550 EUR which seems to be a fair deal, but I’m not sure if it’s the right fit for my needs as I don't know much about bikes. I need a do-it-all: for commute 2-3 days a week, 4-5 km each way + also would want to go for weekend rides with my friends 50-70 km gravel/road.
I’ve heard that 1×11 setups are great for gravel but may not be ideal for road rides if one wants a wider range of gears. I’m also considering possibly changing the crank for 2x? If that would work but I dunno if it makes sense/is feasible.
For reference I'm 185cm, 70 kg
Bike is described as: Focus Cro-Mo, double-butted with polished welds, size 58, groupset- Campagnolo Centaur 1×11, brakes- Shimano cantilever, wheels- DT Swiss 535 rims, Novatec A141SB + F162SB 32H hubs
Do you think this would work for my use case, or should I look for something else? Also would it need modifications for more road-oriented use or is 1×11 fine?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Beautiful bike. Sounds to be pretty fit to purpose, but won’t have the widest gear range, and may have bigger steps between cogs. Do you know what the cassette’s range and chainring size is?
