Hi folks! My big ole' fatso was taken (along with my "classic" 2001 RockHopper XC FSR as well) from our bike storage last night. I am sure it is long gone (as the police said) but since it is a bit unique I thought I would put up a pic.
They also took my kids bikes (two FatBoy 24's) but they found those in the forest this morning thankfully. Couple neighbours lost bikes as well. Real bummer.
Gonna miss this beast – had some great rides and a super fun nearly 10 years with it. Bought new in Half Moon Bay, California – tore up the mountain trails for a few years and then shipped to Sweden in 2017. Truly an all weather beast and just so damn fun on the forest and gravel roads here in Sweden. Wonder where it will end up.
Was in a locked bike storage locked with a big Kryptonite chain through the frame and back wheel, then the FSR was locked to this one with a beefy Abus U-lock. Locks weren't there and there was no damage to the door so I assume they had a key and carried them off as they were but of course I have no idea.
