Me and my partner are planning to cycle from Western Turkey (from Bandirma after getting a ferry) through Georgia to Armenia, ending the trip in Yerevan this August-early October (across 6-8 weeks). The interactive route is available here.
I would love recommendations for the route this summer, and for any tips on great side trips. We usually cycle an average of around 100-120km a day. We have a lot of cycle touring experience and very much enjoy mountains, and I'm looking for quiet, beautiful roads and to avoid big cities where they are worth skipping. I'm also very happy to take diversions and take a little longer and take more indirect routes – particularly in Eastern Turkey, Georgia & Armenia (would love to go to Iran, but right now the security situation is too dangerous for my liking). We
For Turkey, nearly all of the route has been directly borrowed from the Route 3 suggestion here on Cycloscope.
We will aim to do a mix of wild camping and staying in hotels and B&Bs every second or third night, and taking a rest day at least once every week. Thanks!

Awesome trip! It sounds like a really fun journey. I did some traveling around Konya and to the east. That area is beautiful but very large stretches of nothing. I would recommend ensuring you have enough water and supplies since it is quite far through the Anatolian steppes. Or take a more southern or northern route closer to the sea
