I'd recommend the Marin San Quentin 1, it is at 899 usd and is a pretty nice beginner trail bike with a 130mm travel and a nearly perfect geometry for starting to jump and do some trails
Preesh🙏 actually looking into a good bike so I can start biking to my construction jobsites since I’ve moved closer🤙 I really want a dirt jumper but I’m thinking if imma ride to work to save of gas should I go ahead and spend the money for the extra gears and ig the seat post?
I heavily dislike modern frame designs, mainly because without the massive name slathered on the sides of the bikes, they look all the same; boring and overpriced.
I bought a Scott contessa 930 for my wife for about $1000 and it has a rock shox air fork, through axles, Maxxis tires and hydraulic brakes. Very solid bike for even 1500 or more.

Mountain bike under 300dolla4s
Yeti ark is like 8k
I have a rock hopper elite but just upgraded
What about a giant talon 1
You forgot a 0 for the yeti 😁
Bro said rockhopper😂
Those bikes are more than 900$
Ozark trail vibe lmao im broke af
$900 for a beginner is everything wrong with the industry right there
Marin’s are sick for a first bike, cheap reliable and relatively nice
Trek Xcaliber 8 is 1500$
Cant go wrong with a Marlin
My first mountain bike is (my main bike still) a specialized rock hopper. Some friends of mine have trek marlin 6 and 7
On a serious note… get a Giant hardtail bike.. for beginners. you can't go wrong with that
The ragley Marley or really any ragley aggressive hardtail is a good one for beginners on a budget
My local bike shop recommended me the Specialized status 140
They still make rockhopper? I had on back in the 90s
buy used, dont listen to him
beginner just the walmart special Ozark trail bike, they going to just tear up first bike anyway.
No bike shop ever recommends giants because they don’t have to cost an arm and a leg to be good don’t listen to these dudes
lol
I was Eyeing the Marlin 8 it looks pretty good.
Bro what about a salsa rangefinder hardtail
A yeti ARC is 900$ in what country? I want one!

Rockhopper will always be a good choice

Trek X Caliber with the two by system. I hate the rock hopper. They put some questionable components on it for the price.

I had the 1st one and sold it for 80 bucks a year ago not knowing what there worth and now im trying to get me a new bike lol 😅 i like that yeti arc
What about a huffy 24 inch mountain bike that cost under $200?
I have a ex caliber 8, and it’s 1700k but I got it for 1000, and yes, that was its original price and they sold a lot of them for that price
