Gave the bike a thorough clean before packing it up to fly and found this little gem while degreasing and lubing the chain. 🤦♂️ No idea how long it has been like that. Checked the overall wear and it's time for a new chain anyway. Any guesses how long it'll last?

It’s past that time. Toss it and get a new one.
Replace and check cassette/freewheel wear while you are at it.

I’ve been seeing this on a lot of KMC chains lately. Happened to two of mine but I’ve seen several other posts from people as well. I’m switching to shinamno but it’s a bummer because I really like how kmc shifts on my e*thirteen cassette
