Just snagged this Trek 750 off Facebook Marketplace. Heard some people call it a “holy grail” bike and now that I have it in person, I get it — the paint is amazing and it’s all original.
Planning to build it into a commuter warhorse. This will be my first ever bike build, so I’m excited (and a little nervous). I’ll be posting progress updates as I go!
Any tips for first-timers or parts recommendations are more than welcome.

Congrats. Good grab. I converted a 930 into a commuter warhorse / bikepacking rig, and it’s still a beast. Love that bike. Fantastic for my old 9-mile mixed terrain commute. Great for crappy pavement. Cheers.
