Did you get the folding version? That is regarded as more durable than the non-folding version.

Something strange happened here because, with rotation, you can get well over 10,000 km out of a pair of Mondials. The recommended pressure, by the way, is printed on the side of any Schwalbe Marathon tire.

Many African riders now seem to be choosing tubeless. Are your rims tubeless-compatible? Of course, tubeless tires are all worse for longevity than Mondials.

I’ve got close to 10,000 k’s on my mondials and apart from going a little bit bald, they’re still golden

My current set of Schwalbe Marathon Mondial Evo DD has approximately 18.000 kms done. Rotated front and back. I reckon they are still good for 5k at least. 10% gravel, extreme heat, Iran, Pamir Highway, SEA, Westafrica. I reckon that early failure is on you 😬

I had 3 different Mondials all fail in the same way in less than 5000 km. I think Schwalbe had a bad year or two.
