Apart from the tape it doesnt look like its been used that much.

You could with some sales/clearance find a somehwat similar bike new in the mid 1000’s probably. So 1300 is definitely too much

I would perhaps go up to 1000 if it was in top condition and you really wanted it and it didnt need any work. But judging by the tape i would want to spend less on it.

  2. I would say for a five-year-old bike that’s been ridden more than he says it has, $1000 max. That’s if everything else is working fine, it shifts well, brakes work well etc..

  3. The tape could just be sign of a bad bike fit where the riders weight is all on the bars. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s been ridden more than you think. I’ve had a bad fit and eaten through tape like that before getting it right.

4-5 year old Aluminum frame, disc brake, shimano 105 bike? I’d offer $400 and probably take it up to $600, after that I’d rather buy new and have a warranty.
