Came back into riding 2 years ago after a long break. Ride transitions and with brakes.
I’m kind of a style dog so I’d rather wear something that looks good to me, you feel good, you ride good is my mentality.
The picture I posted is the OG taj. To me there was no better shoe. Looked great, soft and secure inside and thick enough outside to take a beating without it being too stiff.
Second pic is what I’m riding now. I think they look great, simple and cool but they are pretty thin and flimsy. Reminds me of Sambas I used to wear. Been rocking these hard the last 2 years (gone through 3 pairs).
Just watched video on the Vane AVE, but seems to have mixed reviews. Fast and loose shoes seem decent but idk. And def can’t see myself riding in a slip on. And sorry, but those stock Nike skate shoes do not do it for me. However the Vertebrae looks very tempting.
What’re you guys rockin? Suggestions?

Don’t know if you can get em but I love my Adidas hoops. High tops. Tough (ish, go through about a pair a year.) And you can wash them.

Osiris if you like high tops. NYC83 and Clones are my favorite for how they feel and look

They feel great, grip is top; and they also look 👌!
Don’t ride in normal vans, especially the canvas ones that you shown in the picture. They will be ripped to shreds after one session go with the Bmx specific ones.
