Found this Madone Project one for sale for $3000. Sepler says it has SRAM Red w/ power meter crank, bontrager 1 piece bar stem, Aeolus RSL 51 wheels and versus elite saddle (not pictured). I'm not as familiar with the Madone, as I usually ride a Domane SL6. How would this compare, and is it a good deal?

Yes
$3k for that sounds stolen or scam
Yes. Price sounds right. Bike is quite a few years old (doesn’t make it bad or anything). Just a lot has changed and been redesigned a few times since and thus devalues older models. This seems like a great price for the P1 Red group set
Yeah. check if the frame has any problems. But sounds like a great deal. I’d buy one of those for that price quite easily.
needs a bigger logo though
The Madone is a aero race bike. More aggressive geometry. Much stiffer ride than your existing ride.
The madone pictured appears to still have some of the spacers under the stem which will bring your position up a little. You can go on the trek website and see, compare the geometry. I currently have a Domane SLR 9 and have ridden several Madone and that was my experience. With all that being said, how do you intend on using this bike?
It’s out of warranty which means when the isospeed fails, you’ll be buying a new frame. The isospeed will fail.
I’m going to be down voted for saying this as people will chime in say their frames have no issues. I’ve had friends say that too until I inspect their frame and its toast. The issue can be subtle at first but eventually, the seat mast area will fail and replacing the hardware won’t fix it as the bolt holes have ovalized.
The parts on the bike are amazing and the wheels are incredible. If you’re prepared to, at some point, swap those over to another frame, do it. Or if you’re buddies with the guy selling the bike, get them to file the claim when the frame fails.
