Getting ready to leave for work and saw a red line on my bike tire that didn’t use to be there, what do you guys think it is? It looks like maybe someone drew on it?
Checking your bike isn’t abandoned. I’ve had work bike lockers that are half full of forgotten bikes, some worth serious money. I don’t understand some people.

Checking to see how long the bike is there like they do with cars. Could be police but more likely a thief unless there are rules on how long a bike can be in the rack.

I can only think of time limits for locking bikes. Like no overnight locking or something. The same is done to cars to make sure they don’t stay parked beyond the allotted time. Usually done by parking b enforcement or security guards.

Looks like a chalked tire. The only reason for this I can think of would be if there is an inordinate amount of abandoned bicycles near where you had it locked up and the city is looking to remove some.

Parking regulations are getting strict in your complex. Someone is checking to see who’s coming & going and times they are doing it. Tell/ask property management.
