I want a bike I can put some semi aggressive tires on to ride to work but also maybe get a 2nd set of wheels for trail tires as a 1 bike to do it all initially. Something I can get comfortable on riding around town a.d also rake to some trails, and later upgrade to a full suspension should I get into more technical trails, or go to resort for downhill. But this will be backup or friend bike at that point.

It doesn’t look like a bad price. What upgrades have been done to it? Dropper post? Tires?

New that bike is around $750. BTW that was my first bike too and it is pretty good for a first bike if that is all your budget allows.

Don’t upgrade it too much tho as for a little bit more you can just buy a bike with better components to start with.

I think you should find something with air fork, these are just junk, bit that’s my opinion. Check cube bikes, pretty cheap and great

If that’s your budget, hell yeah! You will have lots of fun. Then, you will wonder about those flashier bikes, and probably upgrade a few years down the road

Its certainly good enough to get into the sport, with the warning that you may find yourself wanting upgrades quickly. Assuming this is the correct size for you, I’d recommend it.

My $0.02 would be to ride this thing as-is, and when you want to upgrade, buy a new bike. As you progress to intermediate you’ll outgrow this bike in enough ways that you’ll be better served passing it off to another noob for a small price drop and finding something already upgraded.

  6. Price looks ok, but it is an XL, and I don’t see where OP listed their height. This frame size is really for someone over 6′ tall.
