I started end of last year to learn the lift off, the braking if I get too high (no, not this high snoop dogg!) and now I feel like I almost get this kind of short manual every time, but can’t hold it longer.
I also got the mtb hopper manual trainer at home, which is okayish to get into that feeling, but sure feels completely differ than doing it actually.
I feel like I need to push my ankles more down to hold the height…
Any feedback is helpful!
(Ps. totally thought I would learn it faster! After I started it was a bit frustrating, but now it feels like there are just some small pieces missing and every step is a step forward!)

I was going to a indoor skatepark with my dirt jumper for 4 months during winter, once per week.
The point is that there is not fast and easy way to learn to manual.
I found that bending more from Your knees helps when You near the balance point – maybe related to the bike, not sure. It will be easier to manage your weight with you legs like that.

Most of the technique is good. As you said, seems like fear is preventing you from holding it. Maybe practice with more protective gear to get over that, or practice looping out.

Bend your knees when you find the balance point, which is further back than you can see on the video. Technique in general is not bad tho.
Edit: watching the video again looks like your arms are not fully extended. Arms should be completely straight with no elbow bend, and knees bent in the balance point. You control the balance point with the knees and weight distribution. Also, if you feel lifting the bike requires much strenght you are doing It wrong. It’s just a change in the weight distribution, It should feel almost effortless.
