Those are very shitty bike lanes. Designer would be fired here in Chile. Bike lanes should be in a lower level than sidewalks but higher than the street.
problem isnt the lane. its actually the rider of this electric vehicle going more than 40+kms/hr. First off he starts going the wrong way ( yes those bike lanes along side walks are directional ) when he sees a car stopped in the bike path ( which is waiting for the intersection to clear ) , rather than wait for the car as a normal vehicle would he chooses to go around going off the bike lane. Imagine if a car saw a pedestrian in the way and then chooses to go off the road to go around? Then there was another escooter rider going the wrong way!
