We should call out others that go through red lights by loudly asking them to not go through. It affects us all. See a lot out near Hampton and Kingston etc just doing what they want. We need to start changing attitudes from within.
Fully agree with you. I always try my best to keep to one side out of the way and be as respectful as possible. Greenwich park is where I pass through regularly and do stop to take in the surroundings but mindful I'm not the only one using the space. In regards to use of the roads I follow the rules and it really aggravates me when I see others not doing so and unfortunately we all usually get put into one category of cyclists are all the same. No one is perfect including myself but when I make a mistake I own up and apologise it's not hard but some think it's their right of way. 🤷🏼♂ At the end of the day I like many others do our bit to show we are not all like those who don't show respect to other road or park users.

100% agree with you about the hot heads! Some of them just think they own the place.
Well said it’s true on both sides but car drivers get the worst reputation and punishments while cyclists are very rarely held accountable, we all share the roads and paths and should follow the rules of the road/path as first and foremost we should show each other manners and respect.
My absolute worse ride to work was on a cycle track, other cyclists just joining the track without looking or passing very close and cutting me up 😳
I think there's a bit of that from everyone really, dog walkers not keeping their dogs under control or kids running around without consideration of others.
I went for a run this morning and encountered a family literally taking up the whole path oblivious to the world (it's big enough for multiple people to pass) as well as cyclists riding together and not getting in single file when going past people
Pedestrians at the weekend who have the whole park to walk in yet insist on walking two or three abreast down the road are really annoying and there are a lot of car drivers with zero patience and drive dangerously in the 20 limit.
Completely agree with what you say, some do need to change there mannerisms!

There are bellbits in cars and on bikes. If you want to go as hard as you can on a road bike, a busy park is probably one of the worst places to do it.
Their used to be a thing, you wouldn't get a wave back if an/other cyclist wasn't in a club on the scene BUT I think attitude comes from society in general. I wonder how many drivers will disrespect a cyclist if they have been themselves? I get anxiety if I have to do something I don't want to, yes it's an aspect of life change etc but sometimes having you do things you don't want to yet smiling just does my nut in…

There are so many wankers flying around Richmond park with their 12 grand bikes. All trying their hardest to overtake cars at 20 + mph. Shades, lycra, 200 quid helmet, hi Viz yellow jersey and a pot belly.

I cycled around Richmond park once on the way from London to Brighton. It was one of the most unfriendly places to ride a bike, due to the other cyclists. Edit: I'm on the look out for a new lid, just wondering what model of ABUS that is you're wearing.
Manners cost nothing you did right I would do the same…also in terms of thinking too much don’t think just do! You’ll feel all the better for it… I’m the worst for talking myself out of something 😂
A few months ago on one of my rides, I was at Richmond Park and had a break stop at the Priory Lane side. Going to the mini roundabout and gave way to a couple of cars entering from my right. A guy who looked like he was is full on Strava time trial mode passed me the caught the second of the cars and started shouting at the driver! I wish I had my action cam then. This guy should have waited like me! I wish the Royal Parks police had seen that. We are privlleged to have a place Richmond Park in Greater London, but we don't need the odd selfish idiot! I find other cyclists I have met ther very friendly.
