Hey everyone
I got myself a Marlin 4 as a commuter – I put skinny tires and guards because I mostly use it in city. Why a Marlin 4? I’m tall and over 240lbs. I’ve been working out a lot focusing on resistance training, so I find myself usually sticking to the faster speeds unless I’m pulling on the hitch with my two small ones. So, I’m wondering if I’m putting too much weight/force on them

I’m way within the margin of the Marlin 4, BUT

Just noticed yesterday – both my pedals broke after 4 months of use and about 300km.

What pedals do you recommend?

DMR pedals provide a very good price to performance ratio. Some examples here in increasing price ranges

    [DMR V6 Pedals – blue | BIKE24](https://www.bike24.fi/tuotteet/122775) or [DMR V11 Flat Pedals – blue | BIKE24](https://www.bike24.fi/tuotteet/405586)

or metal ones [DMR V8 Pedal – black | BIKE24](https://www.bike24.fi/tuotteet/226115)

those super cheap plastic ones you had deserve to be gone. They are slippery on top of being bad.

You can find them globally from various stores.

There are plenty of other good brands also: Crankbrothers like [Crankbrothers Stamp 1 Gen.2 Large – Flat Pedal – black | BIKE24](https://www.bike24.fi/tuotteet/820842) Shimano of course [Shimano PD-GR400 Flat Pedals – black | BIKE24](https://www.bike24.fi/tuotteet/455686) Raceface, even cheap BBBs are miles ahead of what came with your bike.
