Hi, I'm a product design student and I’m working on a project to rethink the bicycle water bottle — aiming to make it more seamless, less distracting, and possibly even invisible while riding.

I’ve created a short (3–4 min) survey to understand how cyclists really use, love, or get annoyed by their current hydration setup.

If you ride with a bottle (or don’t!), I’d love your input — all kinds of cyclists welcome:

The key is bottle to bottle cage interface. If it’s easy to put in and take out your bottle while riding, you don’t even think about it.

Oh, and maybe easy to open nozzle (or whatever the correct English word for it is).

I don’t know if having it be *invisible* is ever a concern I have about my water bottle. For touring, easy to clean is a must, especially for the cap/mouthpiece. Also, in more remote areas, being able to carry a lot of water on my bike has been an issue.

  3. For touring ?

I have a drinking water bottle, and then my stash of water on the bike. Usually like 4-5l when fullt loaded. I currently use soda bottles, but would love a better solution, thinking of getting a camelbak bag or something.

An easily washable bottle, that mounts low on the frame (avoids space taken from other bags), is easy to clean and take out to refill, would be dreamy 🙂 Oh, and minimal sloshing around !

Think I just talked myself into getting a nice bag, and making a mount for it.
