Why does a saddle bag need that bottom shock cord support?
And how is this supposed to work when you want to fold the bike; the shock chord is tied to the suspension block which will rotate away? Wouldn’t that just add extra steps to the fold?

The product page says “works with folding mechanism”. I think that if you put it on the suspension block, folding will be awkward. If you put it somewhere near the latch that the suspension block attaches to, then folding should work better. I think. Except for folding the seat.
One thing I would be worried about with attaching to the suspension block is getting it out of alignment. On my bike it is really finicky. But maybe it is so firmly in when you ride it, and the string has so little tension that it’ll never happen.

[This is the bag.](https://us.restrap.com/products/city-saddle-bag-small)
Alternatively, I could strap it [here](https://i.postimg.cc/ydkj8cwM/IMG-9355.jpg) instead. 🤔
