Seems a good price suppose it comes down to the question, are the fork and shock recently serviced & the frame bearings as these can be a costly outlay if they all need doing 👍🏽
Seems a little high to me. I’m sure of the specific year, but my guess would be somewhere around 2017-2019. Full suspension bikes age like milk for two reasons of late.
1. Geomerty has changed dramatically in this era and finally settled down around 2020ish
2. There is a lot to service on a full suspension bike, both front and rear suspension itself, linkages, drivetrain, etc.
This is all to say, I think that is a bit high for that bike unless it’s exactly what you are looking for (27.5 enduro/trail bike). If you really want a Santa Cruz and it’s in great conditions it’s okay, but I wouldn’t do that.
That’s a gen 3 nomad. They ran this model from 2014-2016 before switching to the lower link VPP design that all SC’s use now.
I wouldn’t buy this bike:
-geo is 10 years old. Reach is short, angles are steep
– single pit brakes. Yes it is XTR but there is a reason every bike in this category is now 4 or 6 piston.
-11 speed drivetrain vs 12 speed.
I don’t think the value is there for this bike. Someone is just hoping to get paid because it’s a Santa Cruz

You will probably have to service or upgrade the suspension, then really consider replacing the reverb seatpost but overall it’s probably a good deal
If this is legitimately the description from the seller, it would be a big red flag. It’s got some sort of poorly generated AI description so could be a scam. Even if legitimate, it’s an older bike that would cost you probably another several hundred euro just to service the pivots and suspension to make sure it’s all working…and that is 10yr old equipment.
I would pass personally, but if you’re mechanically inclined these issues mightn’t be a big deal. Some people can service their own suspension.
Nice bike, but definitely high. Where I’m at, you could get a nomad 4 for that price range. I’d definitely try to talk them down some.
