While riding faster my bike has recently started making a grinding/ high-pitched vibration. I can typically get it to stop by slowing down or a small bunny hop. I think it may be the bearings in the freehub.
The bike is a 2008 Cannondale Synapse with Mavic Aksium Race wheelset. How do I determine what bearings are required? Their available documentation is crappy and I have never done this before.

I suspect it has more to do with the headset rather than the front hub bearings.
from page 3 I see the bearings seems to be M40318, with a web search I find results like this: [https://www.bike24.com/p2135928.html](https://www.bike24.com/p2135928.html)
