So this is my Orbea Onna 2*8, I got it in January and it's been fun to drive, but I want to get into this world. I'm looking for advice on bags, which ones do you recommend as essential for light travel?
PS: I live in Guatemala and would prefer American brands.

Hi, I’ve been doing a lot of research recently, but the american factor wasn’t one of my criteria. There already so many other options. Here is what I opted for, it all depends how much you plan to carry and in which types of bags with what kind of carryng system. I’m planning a long trip so those are the choices I made.
A frame bag is the first place to start. I bought a ready made Blackburn but if I were on the market for one now I would get a custome made with a roll top, many companies offer custom made.
For other mounting options, one of the american brands, if you want to go the rear rack and/or fork mount option, is Old Man Mountain (OMM). They offer options for bikes without eyelets. I got their Front Axle pack which mounts on their Robet Axle : [https://oldmanmountain.com/product/axle-pack-3/](https://oldmanmountain.com/product/axle-pack-3/)
On which I mounted Blackburn Cargo Cages : [https://www.blackburndesign.com/p/outpost-cargo-bike-cage/350130000100000010.html](https://www.blackburndesign.com/p/outpost-cargo-bike-cage/350130000100000010.html)
I hesitated to get the OMM Divide rear rack, a lot of people seem to like their lighter Elkhorn rack, but it can’t carry as much weight. I ended up getting an Ortlieb Quick Rack:

As for bags, on the rear I plan on a small backpack on the rack and two small paniers, Arkel Dry-Lites:

I’m planning to carry water on the fork and I’ve got a Restrap handlebar bag:

plus two stem bags for a bottle and small stuff.
