1970’s Peugeot NS. Not too sure how I feel about folding bikes 😬 are these old hinges okay? Should I be worried about it bending?

Should be fine assuming no pre-existing conditions.

But also consider my vintage folder (a Raleigh Twenty) is a different style of hinge. I’ve never done more than a few test rides with that set-up, but it was common. I’ve wrenched on a few of these (never a hinge issue).

They’re fun bikes to ride, making you feel like a kid on a BMX again, just dont expect them to fold down enough to fit under a desk, you’d need a modern one for that kind of fold.
