I bought this bike a week ago for $500 and I’m curious if what I paid was a good price or not.
It’s a much higher quality bike than anything I’ve ever ridden so I’ve been loving it either way.
Newest version of the Superlight. As pictured fox suspension. It’s in good condition, the only maintenance I had to do was bleeding the back brake.

Not sure if you overpaid, I mean it could be considered a collectible. But there are definitely far better bikes at 500 bucks I would consider before this. That being said, have a great time on this bike and enjoy. May or may not have been too expensive but it’s still fun to ride. Single pivots are just quirky machines. Love it.
I would get rid of the saddle tho. It’s far too chunky to be considered a rideable MTB saddle to me. But if it works for you, who am I to judge.
It’s pretty baller, kind of hard to give a price for anything this far out of anything like a depreciation curve. If you like older bikes (I do) and it’s made you happy and you had the $500 to begin with then well done! Personally I would consider that good value if it was sorted without needing any major new bits or maintenance. Then again, Santa Cruz. Enjoy anyway 🙂
