    This is why I don’t buy used carbon, I’d ship it out to a carbon repair company for an inspection

    Can’t tell without sanding it down. Hopefully just the paint under the clear coat. Hope it works out. Cheers!

  4. I am a carbon repair shop owner. This is 100% busted carbon. Paint does not crack like that without breaking carbon. It is fixable, I would give you an estimate of $450 to $850 for the carbon repair and another $200 for paint matching. The range in carbon repair is trying to estimate how large the damaged area actually is. Carbon delamination is always bigger than the visible damage.

    Is it a brand new bike? Take it back to the shop, if it is, Specialized are pretty good with their warranties when it comes to things like that.
