I'm a little over a year in with my Retrospec Harper. Just wanted to share that it has been very positive, since reviews are patchy. I put a slightly smaller chainring on it to reduce the gearing ratio and added Koolstop salmon brake pads and a cheap rack on the back. I also covered it with reflective stickers – both to add visibility and to uglify it just a bit 🙂 My commute to the train is only 2.5 miles each way but so far it's working nicely. Slightly hilly terrain but I'm totally fine with the single speed despite some prior knee pain. It's nice knowing the thing was cheap enough it's not even worth insuring – if it goes missing I'll just buy another one in a different color.
