I visited Munich in August 2024 and cycled around the city center for the first time.
I rented a bike with Call a Bike from Deutsche Bahn and rode from Biennerstraße to Hackenstraße—a ride that really highlighted the challenges of navigating the city by bike. Inconsistent infrastructure made using Google Maps frustrating. Still, thanks to low traffic, an extensive network, and respectful drivers, I felt surprisingly safe throughout.
