  1. Just park your car halfway there and ride the last 2500 km until you’re fit enough to do the whole thing.

  2. Yeah mate. I wouldn’t want gears on that daily distance because you might have to change a chain halfway back. Ride on.

  3. Google tends to underestimate pace. Lachlan Morton could do that in half the time.

    I’d take the Shortcut too, more direct and less traffic. Just make sure you have a couple of extra spare tires and good mudguards for the red dirt.

  4. It looks like Perth is two hours behind Queensland so if you keep a good pace you could arrive before you begin.
