Sometimes I don’t feel like biking up the rocks, blocking the other riders going downhill and focusing on not slipping when I just wanna get up to the top to descend. This is biking up sierra road and down through sierra vista + alum rock park in San Jose CA

The Trail Center where I live has a family uphill, which follows a paved road and turns into a wide forest road. I really prefer it to the uphill flow, which is build for e-bikes and is only fun to me when I rent a e-MTB.
I have a local spot I ride because it is an easy spot to lap. The initial climb in you can take a fully paved path. After first descent it is an easy dirt climb back to the top though. I hit it a lot because it is in town and I can do a lot of laps, great spot to dial in the suspension too.
