5k is absolutely doable. That’s 14km per day, so a 7km commute and back. Now, obviously, you won’t be riding every single day, but things like commuting to work or just doing an early morning ride before starting work if you’re working from home will make up the base of it.
Sure, you’ll have 100+km rides once in a while, but they won’t make up the bulk of your yearly distance. Consistency will.
edit: between 6-8k per year, with a 9k exception.

Around 10K to 12K.

Just going back and forth from work and normal weekend errands by bike (never for sport) I’m at 2,5k.
Just bought a bike for actual cycling, not looking to get to 5k, but I’d say it’s very feasible.

15,000km is the target for this year.

3900km last 365 days. My goal is around 8k but I rather enjoy riding than forcing myself to do it and then lose interest. I’ll do more longer tours and outdoor season just started. I assume I end this year with roughly 6000km.

Damn you live in a flat area, at 1.500km I’d have to do at least 15.000-20.000m of elevation no matter which direction I go.

That’s like 60 miles per week. 12 miles per day with two rest days. Not difficult at all.

5000+ km is like only my yearly commute to work.

If I count my commute to work I think it’s 13k km that I did last year. I did 9k just on my road bike.

I don’t make it a goal or anything, but I think I’ll get a bit more than 10000km of fun this year

About 8000-10000 miles a year.

Last year was my fourth best year with 12,000 km and 26,000 vertical meters. My goal is always around 11,000 km and around 25,000 meters. I think it’s important to set climbing goals as well as distance goals. I’m in my 60s, so climbing is increasingly important. Don’t stress about your goals, though. Focus on making every ride a fun ride. Finally, consider not counting your trainer data. I don’t use a trainer and counting indoor data skews things.

I’ve averaged somewhere just over 6,000mi/10,000km every year for a while now. 5k sounds absolutely achievable. I tend to ride 200-250km a week just on basic daily riding and training, but then I get into my ultra-distance season in the fall, and it’s not unusual to see 200-350km in a day, or 500+km weekend bikepacking trips.
I’ve got a 265km (165mi) one day ride coming up in a few weeks that I’m super excited for.

I try to get in 160k a week..up to about 240k with the occasional break
Currently projecting about 9,000km for this year. I’d love to get to 10k, but not sure if that will be doable this year.
A hundred miles per week is easy.
When I was commuting 18 miles each direction to work, I was getting around 160 miles per week.
I occasionally average over 200 miles per week with a lot of time riding a stationary bike now depending on the weather outside.

Usually around 10,000km/year, aiming a bit higher this year
Is this Strava or another app?
