I recently posted about a used gt bike on facebook marketplace but some people told me to check the JensonUSA website for better deals. I found these two options but im curious about what your opinions are on riding either of these bike at a place like mountain creek in New Jersey? They have trails that go from green to like double black i think. Id only really be going on the blues though since last year was my first year trying it with rentals. Also i wouldn’t beed to do any climbing since mountain creek has a lift. My budget isn’t very high thats why I’m looking at bikes near $1,500.

The force comp has a hell of a spec list for the price.
Holy smokes those are deals! It’s because GT is going through a bit of a shakeup, although Jenson often has good deals anyway. You will have plenty of bike to dabble in the black trails in due time.

Get the comp. Rear shock has a piggyback reservoir that will keep it working longer without overheating if you’re primarily doing downhill. Overall componentry is better to which more than justifies the $250 price difference.
I don’t mean to be pedantic but I thought I’d clarify – you might be going down a hill on these bikes but they aren’t anything like an actual downhill bike. It’d be more accurate to call it an enduro or trail bike
Comp is worth the extra price
Comp. Better spec over carbon frame any day of the week. And these are enduro bikes meant for downhill and perform excellent at parks like mountain creek.
Buy now before it’s gone because they had a full size run just a couple weeks ago that already sold through.
You might want a more aggressive bike if you’re not worried about pedaling up the hills. Maybe something more enduro/park like. You could also pick up a DH bike for cheap on marketplace. They depreciate the fastest. But if you’re set on one of these GTs, they’re both a pretty good deal!
with a 1500 GT force comp you can hit everything at mountain creek.
I’d just go used and pick one up on pinkbike, market place or Craigslist, there’s tons of dh bikes.
