    125mm seems too long.

Even Campagnolo triple road BBs of the type pictured were 115.5mm at longest.

You should definitely use the BB appropriate for the crankset and frame.

  2. I have absolutely no clue what you are trying to say. Please elaborate. What are you trying to install (name the brand and model). “Causing friction”? What do you mean by friction in this case?

  3. What is your crankset?

That’s a Campagnolo bottom bracket with an ISO spindle. If you install a Shimano style (aka JIS) crankset on it, it may bottom out. When you say “friction” do you mean that the crankset is touching the frame?

You need to get a bottom bracket that is correct for your crankset. But you need to tell what exact crankset you’re using.

The OP’s image (of his original bottom bracket) appears to me to show a Campagnolo ACH or ACS bottom bracket.

To the best of my knowledge and certainly the ones I’ve been selling for the past 25 years only came in 111mm for double and 115.5mm for triple.

I do not recall them ever being available in 125mm. Have you different info?

In was not referring to any other brand of bottom bracket.

There are of course different BB tapes, ISO and JIS as well. Campagnolo is ISO. The crank may need JIS.

  5. Is this an ISO Interface and you’re trying to use a JIS crank? If so you’re losing some length due to incompatibility with the square taper interface….like 4-5mm on either side.
