Owners description: Had this bike built up recently but it’s just a bit too big, so want to give it a new home. It’s a full shimano 105 build with brand new chain, bottom bracket and bar tape. Vision metron 1 piece bar and stem.
Size 58cm frame
Year 2011
This would be my first road bike I've owned, looking for something I can train long hours on for a Ironman 70.3 in the Fall. Is this a good place to start? Anything I should be aware of?
It's listed at $950, but I worked him down to $650
Thanks

that stem is slammed. are you flexible? do you have experience with an aggressive riding position? my back hurts just looking at this
Assuming it fits you and it’s in good mechanical shape I’d say go for it. Road bikes from this era are a blast to ride, although they can be a little harsh due to their stiffness.
Not sure you could get a faster bike for $650. But yea make sure it fits you
Good deal at $650, imo.
I have a 2011 Addict R1 with campi components and it’s a lot of fun to ride.
My main bike is an Aethos and I love it, but every time I take the addict out I really enjoy it.
