Almeida is finally starting to look like he is meeting all that potential. One of his main issues was inconsistency from stage to stage. In this tour, he looked consistently strong. Good for him.

There doesn't ever seem to be much talk about E. Mas but after watching him at the TDF last year and seeing how he was ALWAYS just there was impressive. He doesn't seem to ever be able to get a top podium result but he's very consistent at 2nd and 3rd place results. He's a very strong rider and can hang with the best and I feel like he doesn't get as much attention as he deserves. He never gives up and it always pays off for him with consistent 2nd and 3rd place finishes which moves him up in the standings so often. He moved up from 7th to 2nd overall today and he's just not credited as a rider that gets good results
