  1. Could be considered a warranty issue, but replacing the rivnut should take only a few minutes with the proper tool, and the rivnut itself is worth less than $1 USD.

  2. If you’re serious about 1.5Nm, that’s a warranty issue. This sort of manufacturing defect happens.

    A lot of local bike shops do have a rivnut tool for circumstances exactly like this. In your case, it’s lucky the rivnut is basically falling out… you won’t need to drill it out!

    The repair would likely be covered by warranty or the shop where you purchased this bike would likely make the fix free of charge. It’s not really a structural issue where I would expect the frame itself to be “warrantied”. It’s more like a replaceable derailleur hanger that came bent from the factory… they should fix/replace the defective part for free.
