  1. Biggest consideration for me would be tire clearance, I’d want to fit at least 35s and preferably up to 45s, that can be a tough ask for older road bikes.

700 bucks is a lot for an old rim brake bike, not to say it can’t be worth it. But would need some details on the component specs.

  2. I bought a bianchi impulso that was basically new for 250€ you can get better value than 700£

  3. What is this color? Only an exquisitely fashionable, good looking and serious cyclist would ride such a thing. You’re going to spend so much money on dating.

  4. Heinrich-der-Vogler on

Aluminum frame. QR instead of through axles. Rim brakes look like they only have clearance for 25mm tires. Shallow wheels.

OTOH Bianchi usually has good build quality. I can’t tell the group set from the picture, but if it’s got 10 speeds it might be worth it.

    Personally I’d keep shopping.

  5. Looks like Via Nirone 7 – A great quality entry bike, in an Iconic colour. A great beginner bike into the addictive world of cycling. Via Nirone is the street that Eduardo Bianchi started building bikes, Bianchi were the first registered bicycle manufacturer in the world (1885) – the Mercedes-Benz of bicycles imho
