  1. FOR THOSE THAT THINK MVDP SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR POGI . . . .
What you on about?! This is THE HELL OF THE NORTH!! If riders were expected to stop and wait every time someone crashed or had a mechanical the race would still be going right now!! It's a ONE DAY race and bike handling skills are VERY VERY IMPORTANT. MVDP clearly had the better bike handling skills because of his cyclocross career. He is not expected to wait for anyone!! That's what makes this race so unique. It's not like a 3 week GT where you have the luxury to wait for a contender (and even in that case it's a luxury or gift given to the one who crashes). People forget this is a RACE and nobody is expected or bound by any rules to wait for anyone!! It's not as if MVDP attacked BECAUSE of the crash. In that case you MAY have a point but he was ALREADY on the charge and Pogi made a mistake. There's NO WAY MVDP is expected to stop his charge because Pogi didn't have the skills to keep up!!! People that are saying this are either sore losers or haven't watched the sport very long

  2. This commentator by far the most bias one out there. There is nothing wrong in liking one rider of the overs. However once you are in the commentary booth you must drop your bias. The audience includes fans for ever rider.
Time for him to go. He was bias at Eurosports now TNT nothing has changed it’s gotten worse.

  3. Based on Colnago's numbers, mathematically Pogacar would have been able to make up the 15 second gap had he opted for the Y1Rs instead. This is assuming he didn't change bike a second time.

  4. HERE IS A LITTLE BIT IF HISTORICAL TRIVIA . . .
MANY people think that PARIS-ROBIAX is called "The Hell of the North" because it is such a difficult and punishing race in the North of France but the truth is much different. At 78.9km to go on todays stage after winning the 1919 Paris-Roubaix , the first edition after the Great War, its winner Henri Pélissier spoke the famous words:
"We enter into the centre of the battlefield. There's not a tree, everything is flattened! Not a square metre that has not been hurled upside down. There's one shell hole after another. The only things that stand out in this churned earth are the ribbons in blue, white and red. It is hell! This wasn't a race. It was a pilgrimage". Hence the race was then popularly called 'The Hell of the North
The true story behind the name given to this incredible race

  5. MVDP is this era’s undisputed king of P-R but the fact that the era’s biggest grand tour GC superstar is ALSO challenging for the win at every classic is just mind blowing. Van der Poel won this fair and square but I fantasize about possibly having had a velodrome sprint finish between the two of them if Pogi hadn’t crashed and had so many mechanicals.
