I got a gravelbike very recently and then excitedly made the mistake of taking the title a bit too seriously and rode it on gravel on a longer tour.
I somehow managed to catapult a slightly larger rock in between the chain/gearset and the frame with the front tire (I assume). It got stuck there, I removed it and only noticed the dent and the "scar" a few days later. I haven't been able to take decent photos of it because the location is a bit difficult to photograph

Looks like surface damage on an ally frame. You will get marks like that riding anything off road. Send it.
Lube your chain. It is already rusted
