  1. The horizontal bars go above the saddle rails. The bottom of the saddle rails sit on the divots on the middle piece. You torque down the bolts from the bottom and it pulls the horizontal bars down onto the saddle rails. Never seen this specific design but the premise is the same as most 2 bolt seat posts.

    That particular model is no longer in the product listing above, but some others are similar.

    You put the saddle rails on the wide piece, and the two round bars above the saddle rails. Then tighten the bolt on the rear.

    I think it’s a pretty awful design because of how little surface area there is to support the saddle rails. I would only use a saddle with steel rails.
