When we passed through Khorog on bikes late last summer, it was just as the Taliban was reopening Afghanistan's borders, and we were blessed to be able to mill around one of the famous Afghan markets along the river. Vendors bring their wares over the Gunt River on a rickety wooden bridge. This guy in a blue shirt told us Afghanistan was open to tourists. Anyone been?

I really enjoyed Weltreise unlimited. He made really funny videos and encountered many nice interactions.
I wouldn’t go there. It seemed unbelievably exhausting and also I’m a woman.
