Canyon Grizl 6 vs Salsa Journeyer Sora vs Giant Revolt 2
I’ve had my eye on the Canyon Grizl for a while now but I’ve seen a lot of recommendations for the Giant Revolt and Salsa Journeyer Sora, especially since it’s currently on sale. I’ll mostly be riding on paved trails with some occasional unpaved paths. I’m a beginner and this will be my first bike. Between the three, which would you recommend?

For marginally more (at least where I live), you can get the Revolt 1 that has better components and more gears.
How tall / what size are you? The Sora is sold out everywhere except for the 49 and 51 cm sizes.
If your buying your first bike i would recommend you to buy in a shop, they will support sort out the size and adjust the bike for you
Just saying, the Grizl has an aggressive geometry if that’s important to you.
I’ve got a Grizl 8 AL and it’s been a fantastic beginner gravel bike and it’s my go to bad weather bike as the proprietary fenders it comes with is fantastic. It doesn’t rattle and it just works in keeping mud and grime at bay even when muddy singletrack.
The canyon size finder worked for me and the position on is more aggressive than the Giant but that’s what I wanted.
I ride almost 50/50 road/off-road and I also use it for touring as it has plenty of mounting points and that’s one of the main reasons I got it over the carbon fiber version.
The 45 mm tires are great for off road and no slouch on paved surfaces either and there’s a lot more confidence cornering in the winter than a regular road bike.
