May be worn tape on the rim, allowing a spoke nipple to poke through, or could be a burr in the wheel, or (in my case) an old tire with a torn bead.

  2. Is there 2 tiny holes close together? If so, pinch flat, tire not inflated enough. Otherwise, the rubber strip on the inside of your rim is shifted so your spoke is puncturing the tube.

  3. I’ve recently had jagged nipple holes (medical term) cut through my tubes from the rim side. Check under the rim tape to make sure they’re smooth.
