I've got a 2020 scott scale which I love. But as I get more into trail riding (with small jumps and stuff thrown in), I've seen that past me heavily neglected on maintenance and my bike is effectively mechanically totalled at this point. I'm looking for an upgrade, budget around $1000-1500 (which lightly used T7's are within). Thoughts on this upgrade path? I've never ridden a proper full suspension bike before, so should I stick with a hardtail? Or should I get a bike that is worth keeping for many years to come that I can grow into? The T7 seems like the perfect bang for my buck all rounder that will be good for the various types of trails available around me.

With 1500$ budget you can get something much better than the T7 on marketplace or just something used. I personally just bought a 2022 commencal clash for 1400, needed a few repairs; tuning derailleur(did myself nothing needed), replacing dropper cable(did myself but cable 3$), bleeding brakes(myself but need the kit) and replacing the brake pads (myself 9$).

The Siskiu T7 is brand new for $1500 USD on bikesonline right now, you can get a much better bike if you’re looking for a $1500 bike on the used market
