Hey everyone,
I had a small crash with my Canyon bike recently – nothing major, but I did go down. Now I noticed a few scratches around the rear axle area of the carbon frame. They don’t look super deep, but since it’s carbon, I wanted to be on the safe side.
I’ve attached some pictures to show the damage. Do you think this could be a structural issue or is it likely just cosmetic? Would you recommend getting it professionally checked out, or does it look okay to continue riding?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated! Thanks in advance 🙌

Nah it’s mostly cosmetic, if theirs no cracking you’re good. I work with composite aircraft wings so take my advise as you will. You can trying get an epoxy repair kit if you wanna smooth it out. The only real way to fix this would be doing a scarf repair.
do an xray, to make sure its ok.
As someone with no experience or expertise on the subject – I’d right it gently until I get it checked out. But I’d get it checked out
Also hope you’re doing alright after the crash, even small ones can be frustrating and painful
