  1. My best guess is some rim tap that’s fraying and whoever build the wheel got some stuck in the spoke nipple.

    I’d cut it and forget about it.

    Probably not it, but the only other thing I can’t think of is that it is a line of dried sealant? What type of sealant do you use in your tires? I’ve never seen it come out like this though, it usually just forms a layer of pasty dry cake on the tire that is a nightmare to remove

    Dont wash ur bike too much as u will damage it, maybe wipe the sliders & a quick spray of the garden hose avoiding the hubs/bottom bracket/fork bearings. Id be lucky to wash my bike once a year…
