Hey everyone,
I've noticed a suspicious mark on the bottom bracket/chainstay area of my Canyon Endurace CF 7 Di2 LN. I'm not sure whether it's a structural crack in the carbon or just cosmetic surface damage.
- The area is just behind the crank arm, near the inside of the BB junction.
- I’ve attached a few close-up photos — would really appreciate your thoughts or if anyone has had something similar on their Canyon or carbon frames in general.
- No crashes or hard impacts, I had two chain drops in last 6 months (since I bought the bike).
Is it crazy such thing to happen caused just by dropped chain?
This is my first road bike that I have and was shocked to see this today after inspection. I am suspicious this happened due to a drop chain that could scratch the surface. However, the day that happened I didn't noticed that "deep" scratch near chain stay protector behind.
