If you are not going tubeless just get a set of GP 5000 in 30mm if they will fit on your bike.

  2. Without knowing your motivation to change them I would say the go-to higher end road tires, especially for tubed, are Continental GP 5000. But you have to ask for the non-tubeless version as both options exist. I can’t tell exactly if it says 26 or 28-622 on your tire. If it’s 26 then you will have to pick a different size for the Contis, they’re 25, 28, 30 or 32. I’d personally go as wide as fits your frame but that’s your choice.

  3. If you’re staying with tubes get Specialized Turbo Cotton.

The cotton case is super comfortable to ride on and it’s a great tire. Numbers say that rolling resistance is about the same as GP5000, but you get superior comfort and I think their wet grip is better.

I run one wheelset with TPU tubes and another with latex, both with turbo cottons.

On my other bike I still use GP5000s and they are a great tire too, but I’ll switch to turbo cotton that too when it’s time.

  4. The Hutchinson Blackbird 28 have a lot of good comments.

Or you could go with the classic Continental GP 5000.
