In light of my last year, I embarked on a genuine MTB ride UP a hill, then back down again, obviously. Let’s see how hard it was for me to pedal this gravity orientated bike. Up a hill after a year of not really climbing very much.

In discussion about what is mountain biking. I think that parks and riding in the wild are all under the umbrella term of mountain biking. Although, to me bike park riding is 'gravity' riding and true 'mountain biking' is getting out into the wilderness and exploring. I love the latter far more.
